Wow! It has been quite a long time since I last wrote. Luckily, since I now have a laptop, I can go just about anywhere to blog now. Right now my pup and I are enjoying the warm sun outside in our garden. The cherry trees and apple trees are in blossom, and my dad and I will soon be preparing the vegetable garden. We have already managed to buy plants to plant once everything is set up.
Today I am also happy to announce that after much procrastination, I have finally mailed in for my great grandfather's death certificate. This was requested of me at the Newark (NJ) Italian consulate during my appointment in August 2011. After that has been received, and the NYC Dept. of Health states it takes 4-6 weeks, I can then mail in everything to the NYC Italian consulate. I have to send all of my papers there, in spite of being a resident of NJ, since all my documents, except for the Italian documents and one other doc, are from NY. I guess they have to check all the seals, and make sure I followed NY's Apostille process correct? I am only guessing that is the reason, unless the entire process will be through NY. ( For anyone applying that is a NJ resident, this is only in my case. )
I canNOT wait for it to finally be finished. I am also wanting to plan a visit to Italy either by the end of this year or sometime next year. It has been nearly 4 years since I have been there. Too long!
